ProtoBubble
A downloadable Prototype
This is a super short test of my teeny tiny POC Prototype of me trying to make anything in Godot.
Here I am testing out:
- FPS style gaming
- Save game system:
-- Player Profile selection
-- Saves on each block placement
-- Auto save play position, when going to menu
-- Save game files are divided by purpose and player profile
- Sound system - I made a bunch of pop sounds and isolated the 14 good ones, and the reversed them for the block creation sounds.
- Animation system - Made custom animations for creation and removal of the bubble blocks
- One game, with just the one mesh... there is only the block mesh, reused in a grid map. I made the mesh in TinkerCad, using the box that comes built-in.
There is a fairly comprehensive logging system for this underneath, but that is just because I happen to be a Cloud Architect and data is the only way one can measure failure, and that is were you learn... I do not stream those logs back to me in any way, but I might ask for logs, if you come and ask why it doesn't work :)
Made this over a couple of late nights, after putting my 2yrs old to bed, over the course of about 20 hours. I have not made anything in Godot before this.
This is for me to learn from, nothing more - No donations or payment is sought nor accepted - I do not expect this to go anywhere.

Install instructions
Full instructions:
Unpack, and doubleclick the exe, and if the .pck is there in the same library with it, it should run.
Testing:
I have only exported it to Windows, and I have only tested it once on Windows PC.
Certification: This is a unsigned Godot game and comes as the engine executable and the accompanying .pck (the actual game).
